The Supreme Purpose of Life is to develop a Majestic and Well-balanced Personality

There is in the mind of God a divine universal plan in which we play a part.  There is a majestic purpose for the progressive development of, and perfection of, free-willed persons/personalities.  One of the supreme purposes of life is the development of a majestic and well-balanced personality.  Within each free-willed person dwells a fragment of the divine - this may be the only positive proof you may ever have in your earthly life that God is real!  This fragment constantly communicates with us and is waiting for us to seek and acknowledge him.  This fragment of the divine is the guiding force that directs all of humanity towards their shared purpose. 

It is God's intention that all free-willed personalities would have eternal life and that they enjoy oneness with him.  Oneness with the mystery of God, the truth of his infinite goodness, endless mercy, matchless wisdom, and superb character. 

The divine spark that dwells within you is faithful to the task of fostering your spiritual welfare, acting as ministers to the higher phases of your mind.  This divine spark is dedicated not to controlling your mind, but to spiritualizing, eternalizing, and improving your thinking proccesses in preparation for what is to come.

Empowerment vs Dependence - Preaching the True Religion of Jesus

The Urantia Papers expand on and clarify the truths of many sacred scriptures, including the Bible.  One of these truths is the fact that the revealed religion of Jesus (not about Jesus) is alive!  Religion should not seek to dominate man, it should empower people to grow and learn through experience.  What is needed is the religion of Jesus, not the religion about Jesus, not a man-made, man-dominated religion, but a religion where we seek to do the Father's will and the religion of Jesus dominates our thinking.   Thinking men and women should seek to have the religion of Jesus dominate their thinking, allowing for the transformation of their lives, creating a condition whereby these intelligent, thinking men and women seek to do the will of God, benefiting humanity, themselves, and even God himself - as it pleases our Father to share in the spiritual pleasures of integrated, unified, and coordinated personalities. 

Having Jesus' way dominate our thinking is not for everyone; even the greatest spiritual treasures in heaven are not enough to persuade some selfish men and women to adjust their self-centered attitudes.  But make no mistake, while no mere man, such as a minister, can intermediate between selfish minds and Jesus the Son or God the Father; he  can certainly communicate God's will as he understands it, trusting in his own Jesus dominated mind to guide him.   

What is needed is a fresh look at Jesus and his teachings.  What is needed is for Jesus dominated thinkers to preach the good news of the new gospel to intelligent, thinking men and women so as to empower them to become that which God intended.  The supreme purpose of life is the development of a majestic and well-balanced personality!  (Urantia Paper 195 - 10:17)

Acceptance of the true religion of Jesus will require a highly geared spiritual performance by newly endowed revelators, or ministers, of the expanded and clarified truth.  We must seek to understand more of Jesus' true teachings so as to bring about greater solutions to the modern and complex issues of our day.  Our goal must be to teach man to experience the presence of God.  We must bow before the cross we proclaim, and yield to the will of the Father - as Jesus did - if we are to succeed in any small or large meaningful way in the transformation of human minds. 

Empowered minds change the world.

Faith is the personal, living, original, spontaneous, and purely spiritual, real and encompassing, sweeps away doubts, destroys conflicting desire, is fervent and sublime, loyal to the Father's will.  This was the faith of Jesus.  (Urantia Paper 196 - 0:5)

Keeping up with a Progressive Civilization

Move with it, groove with it.  Civilization is in a constant and rapidly increasing state of progress toward an unrevealed destiny.  Does it seem like everyone else is flying at jet speed while you're riding the bus?  Well, to make a long story short - move with it, groove with it - learn how to deal with it.  The alternative is to let it pass you by while you stand in total bewilderment.  Standing still, or moving at slow pace, can cause unnecessary frustration and anger, when what is really needed is a sort of spiritual fusion - an understanding of our role in this fast paced world. 

Technological advancements and new streams of knowledge dissemination (like the Internet, for example) are changing our lives at jet speed pace.  Spiritual leaders and moral teachers must become more efficient, influential, and relevant to the needs of individuals who must deal with a variety of new situations experientially. 

Our spirit can keep up - it travels faster than any jet, ever moving forward toward its destiny.  It is the material mind that sort of lags behind - holding on to old ways of doing things, believing that since they worked just fine in the olden days, they should work just fine now.

Email, text message, receive voicemails, navigate (GPS), calculate, take notes, check my calendar, check the time, set the phone display and ringer type for each person in my contacts, download fancy ringers, I can even get a fancy ringer for you to hear as it rings me, I can listen to my MP3 music, watch TV and videos, listen to radio stations around the world, take pictures, store pictures, shop, play games, go on the internet, check the weather and the radar, read the news, check movie times,.......oh, and I can call people.... and probably other stuff I don't even know about yet.

All in a unit that weighs 4.4 ounces and measures 4.5 x 2.25 inches and is a half inch thick.

Today, many of us are anxious, restless, fearful, uncertain, unsettled and/or stagnant - in spite of this we are in fact progressing toward the spiritual realities of one belief system, the humanist and ideological belief of one great philosophy, and a more cosmic approach to the sciences; which will ultimately result in the harmony of religion, philosophy, and science, the oneness of the triune existence of spirit, mind, and energy, and the unification with God. 

Just as we progress by making new and exciting technological advances - so must we also progress in our spiritual lives.  The secret to producing fruits of the spirit is to allow your religious or spiritual experiences to affect your daily lives.  What you know in your heart to be true must be made manifest in a real and tangible way.  Use goals, or small steps, and your individual faith-based relationship with God to move yourself forward - to make progress. 

Live courageously and joyfully on the face of the earth.  Join patience with passion, insight to zeal, sympathy with power, and ideals with energy.  Inspire others to do the same.
